Tip: Always rinse your whisk with lukewarm water (never soap) and let it dry on the holder.

What do you need:
– 2 bamboo spoons (chashaku) matcha (± 3 grams)
– 60–80 ml hot water (70–80 °C)
– Matcha whisk (chasen)
– Matcha bowl or small bowl
Step 1 – Strain your matcha (optional but recommended)
For an extra smooth result, strain your matcha to avoid lumps.
Step 2 – Add water
Place 1-2 scoops of matcha in your bowl and add a little hot water (not boiling!). Water that's too hot will taste bitter.
Step 3 – Knocking
Use thebamboo whiskand make a quick W or M motion until a fine layer of foam forms.
Step 4 – Drink neat or make a latte
Drink your matcha neat, or add frothed (plant-based) milk for a delicious latte.
Maintenance tip:
After use, rinse your whisk with lukewarm water and let it dry on the holder to maintain its shape.
Not suitable for the dishwasher.
